Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06 went live on September 17 at 9 AM PT. The Haunting theme reaches across Warzone, Multiplayer, Endgame, and Zombies rather than being limited to a cosmetic event. Activision’s announcement does not identify a separate anti-cheat rollout, but an update of this size still creates a compatibility checkpoint for third-party tools.
Haunted Hollow arrives as night falls on Avalon
Warzone’s headline addition is Haunted Hollow, a small-town Resurgence map invaded by cosmic creatures and a Ghost Train. The announcement focuses on the setting rather than listing technical map or balance changes, so players will need live matches to determine how familiar rotations and sightlines have been affected.
Black Ops 7’s Endgame mode takes a more direct approach to the seasonal theme. Night has fallen over Avalon, changing visibility while squads complete Activities and Assignments around hostile forces. The Forbidden Summoning Event adds a new encounter in which players break seals to release an ancient threat and fight it for rewards.
Those lighting changes matter beyond presentation. Profiles built around the daytime version of Avalon may need different brightness, color, and overlay settings to remain readable without filling dark areas with excessive visual noise.
Multiplayer receives new spaces and objective rules
Quantum is a new medium-sized 6v6 map set in an Arctic computing facility. It mixes exposed snowy sections with tight server rooms, maintenance areas, and a central tower containing multiple entrances and a concealed flanking route. Bloodstead reworks Homestead as a horror-themed battleground surrounded by zombies and covered in environmental effects.
Season 06 also introduces several limited-time modes:
- T.E.D.D. Trials uses three Zombies locations for 6v6 matches decided by completed tasks.
- Hordepoint lets the team controlling the objective turn undead enemies against its opponents.
- Freeze Tag adds a player-immobilization mechanic.
Outside competitive play, the weapon pool expands with the TR51 Para assault rifle, VMP SMG, Arcblade melee weapon, and Roc 20mm special weapon. More attachments are tied to Weekly Challenges.
What the announcement does not establish
The supplied announcement names the new weapons but gives no statistics for them and does not outline a broader weapon rebalance. It also contains no specific claim about an anti-cheat upgrade, detection method, or enforcement wave. Season 06 should therefore be treated as a major client update, not as evidence of a particular security change.
What this means for players using software
Do not assume a build that worked before Season 06 remains compatible afterward. Large Call of Duty updates can change executable code, signatures, offsets, and data structures even when anti-cheat is absent from the public notes. Check the software update status page before loading anything; an updating or testing label is a reason to wait for explicit compatibility confirmation.
Modes containing zombies, event objects, and unusual NPCs may also expose weak ESP filtering. Review entity categories before entering a match so the overlay does not become crowded with irrelevant markers. Separate aim profiles may be useful for the newly added weapons, since the announcement does not provide enough information to justify copying settings from existing loadouts.
Available options can be reviewed in the software catalog for the game, but compatibility with the current client should still be checked separately.
Nothing in this roadmap alone indicates that players need a different HWID spoofer or that a new anti-cheat layer has launched. Verify the loader version instead of reacting to unsupported claims.
