Tarkov 1.1.0.0 adds Seasons system and KORD BREACH launch

Escape from Tarkov's Patch 1.1.0.0 introduces Seasonal Characters on separate servers, global and personal modifiers, a free Battle Pass and the KORD BREACH task line.

Battlestate has shipped Patch 1.1.0.0 for Escape from Tarkov, and it is not a balance pass. The update introduces a full Seasons system and kicks off the first season, KORD BREACH, with its own character type, its own servers, a rule layer built on modifiers, a free Battle Pass and a dedicated task line. For a game that historically ran on wipes alone, this is a structural change to how progression works.

A third kind of character

Seasonal Characters are a separate profile that lives on separate servers and shares nothing with PvP Zone or PvE Zone characters. Their progression resets automatically every four to six months, timed to a major content update and the start of the next season. Switching between profiles happens on a dedicated character selection screen.

Practically speaking, the client now hosts three parallel progression tracks, each with its own server pool and its own lifespan.

Modifiers set the season’s rules

Seasons are defined by two tiers of rules:

  • Global modifiers alter, ease or harden specific gameplay elements. They apply only to Seasonal Characters, are on for everyone in the season, and cannot be toggled or picked individually. The active list is shown while you create the character. Each future season gets a different set, and the developers say community voting on that set is under consideration.
  • Personal modifiers are optional and self-inflicted. Negative ones award points, positive ones spend them, and the final balance has to land at zero or above before the character can be created. You can skip them entirely. Whatever you picked stays visible on the Character screen under the Skills tab.

KORD BREACH rewards and the Battle Pass

Seasonal rewards are unique trader offers unlocked by playing a Seasonal Character — by hitting a PMC level, finishing a specific task, or clearing a task chain. Anything unlocked becomes permanent across PvP Zone, PvE Zone and PvP Season. Anything still locked when KORD BREACH ends is gone for good.

The KORD BREACH task line itself hands out achievements, opens new Operational Tasks, unlocks trade offers for high-value items and grants access to a new weapon.

The Battle Pass is free and its progress is shared across every mode. You advance it by finding and handing in TerraGroup documentation, sourced from raids across Tarkov locations, from the KORD BREACH line, and from certain Black Division operatives. Raid spawns are personal and behave like quest items — nobody can grab your document first or pull it off your PMC’s corpse. A reward unlocks as soon as the required document count sits in your inventory in any mode.

What this means for players using software

A content patch of this size almost always means a rebuilt client, and a rebuilt client means shifted offsets. Internal cheats compiled against 1.0.x will not read memory correctly, and in Tarkov a bad read rarely fails quietly — it crashes you mid-raid or corrupts a profile action, both of which look loud in server-side logs. Do not force an outdated build. Check the software update statuses and wait for an explicit compatibility confirmation.

The seasonal servers deserve their own caution. New infrastructure ships with fresh telemetry, and launch weeks are when developers watch anomaly dashboards most closely. Radar tooling, snappy aimbot profiles and wide-radius ESP scans are the worst things to bring into a brand-new server pool full of clean players and trigger-happy reporters. If you plan to run a Seasonal Character with software, start narrow — item ESP and loot filtering tuned for TerraGroup documentation — and expand only once builds have settled.

There is also a new cost structure to consider. Because seasonal rewards and Battle Pass unlocks carry over permanently to every mode, anything you earn on a Seasonal Character is effectively account-wide. A ban picked up while grinding the season now wipes value from your main profiles too. That pushes hardware hygiene from nice-to-have to mandatory: a clean HWID, a working spoofer, and strict separation between the account you care about and the one you test on.

Finally, expect your presets to age badly. Global and personal modifiers can shift difficulty and economy enough that settings tuned for the old sandbox stop being optimal. Rebuild your configs after you lock in a modifier loadout, and track current builds on the EFT software page.
