GTA Online Brand Wars: 4X Hotring payouts and bonus reset

Brand Wars pits Team Sprunk against Team eCola in GTA Online for two weeks, with 4X payouts in Hotring Races, a free Hotring Sabre and reset weekly completion bonuses.

GTA Online has entered a two-week corporate feud. Brand Wars asks players to pick a side between Sprunk and eCola and fight for control of Southern San Andreas across incentivized Odd Jobs, Freemode Events and sponsored Hotring Circuit Series Races. Rockstar has also reset weekly completion bonuses, so first-time payouts on a batch of Heists and Missions are inflated again — a rare window for returning players.

The event in short

  • Two weeks of branded turf warfare: assist allied deliveries, sabotage the opposing brand.
  • Hotring Races pay 4X GTA$ and RP through August 26, accessible via the Featured Series corona at Legion Square.
  • Weekly completion bonuses have been wiped, meaning oversized first-clear rewards across several Heists and Missions.
  • Free Declasse Hotring Sabre for anyone logging in before August 26, plus Sprunk and eCola plates and the Sprunk x eCola livery.

Cosmetics, Drops and discounts

Allegiance runs through Twitch. Link a Rockstar account to Twitch, watch eligible Team Sprunk or Team eCola streams between August 13 and 26, and you pick up the matching Sprunk Sweatsuit or eCola Tracksuit alongside up to GTA$2,000,000. Brand bodysuits are handed out free at clothing stores for the duration of the event.

If the free Sabre isn’t enough garage depth, the Bravado Hotring Hellfire and Karin Hotring Everon are both 40% off at Southern San Andreas Super Autos, and both qualify for Hotring events.

Why it matters beyond the payouts

Events like this rarely change mechanics, but they reshape where the money is. A 4X multiplier on a race series compresses weeks of RP grinding into a few evenings, and a bonus reset pulls lapsed accounts back into public lobbies. The result is a denser, noisier online population than usual — which changes the risk profile of a session more than any patch note does.

What this means for players using software

Any event of this size ships alongside a client update, and client updates move offsets. The habit worth keeping: after the launcher finishes patching, don’t inject anything until you’ve confirmed the build is current. Our update status page is the fastest way to check whether a recompile has landed. Running a stale build against a patched client gets you a crash at best and a version-mismatch flag at worst.

The second factor is human. Crowded event lobbies mean more witnesses, and GTA Online’s report pipeline is retroactive by design — ban waves tend to arrive days after the session, not during it. If you’re using money features, keep per-session gains within a range that looks plausible next to the event’s already generous multipliers. Numbers that stand out from a legitimately inflated economy stand out twice as much.

On loadout: money generation and teleport functions carry more exposure right now than visual ones. If the goal is simply to bank the 4X Hotring rewards efficiently, ESP and assist options do the job without drawing attention, and the aggressive modules can wait until the post-event lull. Anyone playing off DMA hardware or sitting on a previously restricted account should verify their HWID spoofer before joining a lobby rather than after the first ban notice. Builds confirmed against the current version are listed on our GTA V software page.

Finally, if you’re returning specifically for the reset first-clear bonuses, spend one throwaway run in an invite-only session testing every feature you plan to use. Discovering half your menu is broken mid-race, with a 4X multiplier ticking away, is the worst possible way to find out.
