Once Human 3.1.1 fixes ships, mods, and custom servers

Once Human 3.1.1 addresses ship movement, broken mods, custom servers, and seasonal progress while leaving two reported issues unresolved.

Once Human received its 3.1.1 maintenance patch on October 23, targeting a broad set of problems rather than adding new content. Completed work included a correction for movement and position rollback aboard sailing ships, while changes for two mods and seasonal event progress were scheduled for deployment by 08:30 PT. The announcement separates already completed work from that later group, with the exact completion time subject to change.

Ships and territory building receive key fixes

Already completed

Characters could lag or snap back while walking on a vessel in motion. That behavior was listed among the fixes already completed when the announcement was published.

The completed group also covered a mobile-specific problem that prevented trees from being chopped in certain parts of Isles of Abyss.

Expected by 08:30 PT

A separate batch of ship and building changes was targeted for completion by 08:30 PT, although the developer said the actual timing could vary. It included fixes for an occasional sailing bug that could leave a ship stuck before teleporting its occupants to the wrong location.

The same batch was intended to correct ship layout placement when “Building Filter” — “Ignore Facilities” was selected, as well as a territory issue that sometimes blocked players from placing items. Correcting inaccurate water-resource displays in western Isles of Abyss was also part of this scheduled group.

Mods, progression, and custom servers

Custom servers received multiple completed corrections:

  • duplicate-name warnings should no longer fail silently and block server entry;
  • missing memetics have been restored;
  • the “Head to a New Area” objective should once again be completable.

The planned 08:30 PT batch was intended to restore the effects of Precision Load and Turret Enhancement at levels where the two mods were not functioning. Because completion was not confirmed in the announcement, players should wait for deployment to be verified before reassessing a build based on either mod.

Moving the Team system unlock from Tech Level 2 to Tech Level 1 in Isles of Abyss was also scheduled for the same target window. Another planned fix was intended to prevent Halloween Wonder Night task progress from being lost across seasons. The developer plans to return Blind Box attempts lost to the bug through in-game mail within two business days.

Walkman song audio and Mr. Wishmonmon’s health bar were included in the completed fixes. By contrast, the missing Standing Action sound and female-mask eye effect for the Underworld Echo Set belonged to the group expected by 08:30 PT, and their deployment had not been confirmed.

Two reported problems remain open

The Calamity Owl can still clip below the ground while moving inside strongholds, making normal attacks impossible. The issue is under investigation, but the announcement does not provide a release date for the solution.

Crocodile patterns may also disappear when players transfer out of Eternaland. The cause has been identified, though required model changes mean the fix is being held for the next version update on November 5.

What this means for players using software

Nothing in the 3.1.1 notes announces an anti-cheat revision, new detection method, or enforcement change. There is consequently no evidence here of a ban wave or a patch-specific need to replace an HWID spoofer. That does not make every existing tool automatically compatible: ordinary client maintenance can still move offsets, alter signatures, or break hooks used by ESP, aim assistance, and overlays.

Let the game finish patching before starting a session, then check the software update statuses. Avoid loading a build still marked for the previous client, even if the visible patch mostly concerns ships and quests. The Once Human catalog for current-version builds provides a useful starting point, but the status of the individual product should remain the deciding factor.
