The most common tragic story in support chat: “bought a cheat, played a week, got banned, switched to a new account — banned again 15 minutes later.” That’s EAC’s HWID blocking at work: the anti-cheat remembered your hardware (motherboard + CPU + drive + network), and any new account from the same PC gets banned right after logging in. A HWID spoofer is software that replaces hardware identifiers at the driver level, so to EAC your computer looks brand new.
Why you need a spoofer in ARC Raiders at all
ARC Raiders runs Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) — the most aggressive of the widely-deployed anti-cheats. When EAC bans you it:
- Marks the Steam account — standard ban.
- Records the HWID signature — combination of hardware identifiers.
- Optionally shares the signature into a cross-game database — some EAC games like Rust share ban lists.
Without a spoofer, the “switch to a new account” scenario doesn’t work. Without a spoofer on “clean” hardware, you might get one shot — the current account. If it gets hit — you need either a new PC, physical replacement of components (board + drive), or a spoofer.
Permanent vs Temporary
Two fundamentally different approaches.
Permanent HWID Spoofer
Replaces identifiers permanently (until reboot or until you manually restore originals). Works at the Windows registry + driver level. After applying, your hardware looks “new” to every app on the PC: new MAC addresses, new disk UUIDs, new CPU ID.
- When to use: main account, regular play. Apply once — play as much as you want, no actions before each session.
- Downsides: requires a clean Windows reinstall or at least full EAC trace cleanup. If you apply a permanent spoofer on the same system where the old HWID was already registered — EAC may “see” both signatures.
- In the IVSOFTE catalog: Portal Permanent HWID Spoofer — works for most EAC games.
Temporary HWID Spoofer (driver-mode)
Loads into memory at startup, unloads on reboot. Identifiers are swapped on-the-fly — only while the spoofer is active. After reboot everything reverts.
- When to use: test sessions, alt accounts, experimenting with different cheats. Convenient — no Windows reinstall needed.
- Downsides: must be launched before every gaming session. Forget once and you log in with your real HWID. Less “stable” vs permanent — EAC updates can temporarily break driver mode.
- In the IVSOFTE catalog: TitanX HWID Changer and similar in the spoofers section.
”Reported by EAC / BE / ACE” — what’s that
A separate category in the catalog — spoofers for people who are already banned by hardware. Their distinct ability: they can “erase” an already-registered signature so EAC doesn’t find a match on next login.
- Reported HWID Spoofer — for EAC/BE/ACE-reported systems.
If you haven’t been banned yet — you don’t need it. If you’ve already been banned and want to come back without Windows reinstall / drive replacement — this is your tool.
What to pick specifically for ARC Raiders
ARC Raiders runs EAC. All the spoofers above work with it, but there are specialized builds trained on EAC signatures:
- Arc Crooked Spoofer — from the same devs who make Crooked Arms ARC. Paired product, tested alongside the cheat.
- Arcane Spoofer — universal Arcane spoofer, tested across a long line of EAC games (Rust, Apex, ARC Raiders).
- Ancient Spoofer — spoofer from the Ancient line.
“Specialized” means the developer regularly tests on ARC Raiders specifically and reacts faster to game-specific EAC updates. Universal spoofers (Portal, Phoenix, BH) work more broadly, but with bigger reaction delay to per-game patches.
Standard safe-play setup
If you play on your main account regularly:
- Clean Windows reinstall (1 hour).
- Permanent spoofer right after install — before first Steam and ARC Raiders launch.
- Cheat — Arcane, Bleak, Ancient, Crooked Arms, or any other full internal.
- In-game discipline — don’t flex aimbot at 100% accuracy in PvP, don’t stream with the menu open, don’t mention cheating in public chat.
If you play on an alt or experiment:
- Temporary spoofer — launch before each session.
- Any cheat that can hotkey-unload on the fly.
- Account is disposable.
What NOT to do
- Don’t buy a cheat without a spoofer if you’ve already played on this PC. One or two bans and accounts on this hardware will go down in sequence.
- Don’t apply a permanent spoofer on the same system where HWID was already registered without reinstalling Windows. That’s a one-way trip to a double signature in EAC’s database.
- Don’t try to play with “free” spoofers from YouTube. Half are public, long since written into EAC. The other half is malware that steals Steam tokens.
Bottom line
In ARC Raiders, a spoofer is not an “extra option” but a mandatory second product to the cheat software if you play on your main account. Permanent — for steady play, temporary — for tests and alts. Already banned — you need a reported-class spoofer. Full catalog — on the HWID spoofers page.
