Fecurity rolled out a MAJOR TECHNICAL UPDATE for Arc Raiders — a hotfix on top of the May 19 build, no subscription cycle change. Main target: killing the black screen on launch for MSI and Gigabyte motherboard owners.
What’s in the May 22 hotfix
- BlackScreen fix. An incorrect startup issue was fixed. Symptom — after pressing Play, the launcher went to a black screen and the game never appeared. Based on telemetry, the issue primarily affected users with MSI and Gigabyte motherboards — specific BIOS defaults on those vendors disrupted Fecurity’s core initialization. Fixed on the cheat side, no BIOS changes required.
- Overlay bug fixes. Minor overlay tweaks: occasional freezes and artifacts on game minimize/restore. Detailed changelog isn’t published.
Required to launch
Requirements unchanged from the May 19 build:
- Discord overlay in Game Mode (Borderless / Windowed), or
- Medal.tv overlay in Game Mode (Borderless / Windowed).
On 60–144 Hz monitors use Medal.tv overlay and disable Discord overlay; on 170+ Hz Discord overlay is recommended.
⚠️ Launcher build date must be May 21, 2026 or newer.
Who must update
- MSI / Gigabyte motherboards — if you had BlackScreen on launch, the hotfix solves it.
- Everyone else — not critical, but overlay fixes and general stability are worth it.
