Once Human 3.0.2: Mental Pollution raid and Item Lock

The Once Human 3.0.2 update from 22 July: a new Mental Pollution RaidZone mode, the Item Lock feature, snap point switching in building, account-wide appearance presets and login rewards. A heavy patch — 7.7 GB on PC launchers.

Once Human shipped version 3.0.2 on 22 July after a two-hour maintenance window, with a notably uneven download size: roughly 7.7 GB on PC launchers, 218 MB on the PC client and around 400 MB on Android and iOS. The patch is substantial: a new raid mode, a long-requested building quality-of-life feature, and inventory protection against your own misclicks.

Mental Pollution — a new RaidZone

The headline content is the Mental Pollution mode in RaidZone. Once Human keeps moving toward repeatable group content: raid zones have become the main way to keep players busy between seasonal scenarios, and the new mode continues that line.

Item Lock — protection from accidental loss

A feature the community asked for repeatedly. Any lockable item can now be locked, which gives it triple insurance:

  • it cannot be disassembled — locked items move to the bottom of the list and are skipped by “select all”;
  • it cannot be discarded in one click — a secondary confirmation appears;
  • it cannot be accidentally sold or traded.

Locking works by item name: lock one and every copy you own is protected, including ones you pick up later. A one-time setup.

Building and appearance

  • Snap point switching. In build mode you can now cycle snap points on walls, ceilings, roofs, stairs and pillars — Shift + mouse wheel on PC, a dedicated button on mobile. Connection precision improves sharply.
  • Shared appearance presets. Character customization is now account-level: presets are visible to every character on the account, with a limit of 12 per gender. Older presets merge automatically on a character’s first login and may temporarily exceed the limit without data loss.
  • The Custom Server homepage got a full revamp, and the summer Lightforge Loot Crate returned.

All players receive Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko’s Mark ×100, Stardust Secret Crate: S13 (Epic) ×1 and Colorful Badge ×30 after maintenance.

What this means for players with software

  • 7.7 GB on the launcher is not a hotfix. An update this size almost certainly shifts client structures. Do not launch with software until status is confirmed on the Once Human page and in the updates section.
  • Raid zones are PvE, but in a group. In Mental Pollution your squadmates are watching, not just the anti-cheat: unnatural gathering speed or instant target acquisition stands out most in co-op.
  • Item Lock lowers your reportable surface too. A share of survival-game bans comes from player reports after suspicious inventory operations, not from detection. Locking valuables simply reduces the number of disputed moments.

Bottom line

3.0.2 is a solid service patch: one new mode plus three improvements you feel every hour of play. For owners of private software the signal is the usual one — a large download means waiting for a confirmed status, not “I’ll hop in and check myself.”
