🎯 Season 04 is officially live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone. A new season always means a battle pass reset, content rotation and — most important for the meta — weapon rebalancing. Alongside it, Modern Warfare 4 opened a fresh DMZ area: the Hajin Exclusion Zone.
What the new season brings
A seasonal Warzone update traditionally reshuffles things on several fronts:
- A new battle pass and reward track — a reason to return even if you skipped last season.
- Weapon rebalancing (a meta shift). Some guns get buffs, others get nerfs; last season’s “best loadouts” almost always go stale.
- Fresh DMZ/mode content — the new Hajin Exclusion Zone in Modern Warfare 4, plus seasonal events.

Why a season breaks the old meta
Every major seasonal patch rewrites damage, recoil and TTK values. That means:
- Familiar recoil patterns shift — muscle memory and old recoil settings need re-checking.
- The “top guns” change — what dominated in Season 03 may get nerfed.
- Anti-cheat updates with the season. Major Call of Duty updates almost always carry Ricochet changes — and that’s the main thing to keep in mind.
What it means for players running software
Warzone is a competitive free-to-play with one of the most aggressive anti-cheats in the industry. After a seasonal patch, hygiene rules matter even more:
- Don’t log in within the first hour of the update. A new build almost certainly shifts offsets — wait until your provider confirms Season 04 compatibility.
