WARDOGS update 0.1.2 is scheduled for deployment on September 30, with services going offline at 08:00 UTC for an estimated one-hour maintenance window. Although labeled a minor patch, it makes meaningful server-side changes and introduces a much stricter response to cash and XP abuse.
Enforcement is the real headline
The developers say the leniency shown to first-time offenders during Season 01 has ended. Accounts identified as abusing cash or XP exploits, or participating in real-money trading, have already had their currency and progression reset. Continued use of repeatable unintended exploits can now lead to a permanent ban without a warning.
Several reward loops have been changed alongside that policy:
- revive actions are now validated entirely by the server, limiting attempts to trigger them across the map;
- the vehicle fly-through exploit has been fixed and its rewards are capped;
- destroying a buildable pays according to its construction progress rather than treating a newly placed schematic as complete;
- pallets deposited into a FOB outside the active zone provide reduced rewards;
- broader server-security changes are intended to make exploitation more difficult.
This makes 0.1.2 more consequential than its “minor” label suggests. The patch is not merely correcting reward values; it is moving important decisions away from the client and tightening the consequences of probing old methods.
Deploy flow puts more server types in view
The redesigned Deploy screen separates Official, Community, Infantry Mode, and Low-Level options. Advanced filters have returned to the official-server list, while long server names can be inspected by hovering over an entry.
Joining feedback is also clearer: the interface displays the connection attempt and then the player’s queue position when applicable. Region selection shows how many regions are active, the Deploy screen supports gamepads, and Anonymous mode conceals the server name during loading and in the pause menu unless the player chooses to reveal it.
Server operators receive practical controls as well. Daily restarts can be scheduled in UTC, RCON access can be restricted through AllowedHosts, and message lengths are capped. RCON now uses Standard response detail by default, configuration responses no longer reveal server internals, and ServerImageURL is validated when the configuration loads.
Crash, combat, and stability fixes
The update resolves the WD-L020 crash associated with Windows 11 update KB5124010 and includes several server-stability hotfixes. Players occupying sealed vehicle seats are now prevented from deploying grenades, smoke devices, or C4.
Other fixes cover the adaptive crosshair remaining visible while aiming down sights, unreachable or repeated weak points on buildables, and a Havoc issue that caused excessive damage from 20 mm and 30 mm cannon fire. The larger content drop is being reserved for Season 02, which is planned to include new map conditions, equipment, balance work, and additional features.
What this means for players using software
Treat 0.1.2 as a compatibility event, not a harmless menu update. Client patches can move offsets or affect hooks, while the new server-authoritative checks directly invalidate software or automation relying on the previous revive and reward behavior. Testing an old economy-related function is especially difficult to justify when the studio has explicitly connected exploitation with progression resets and permanent bans.
Update the game first, then consult the software update status page before starting a session. Waiting for a compatibility confirmation is safer than assuming a pre-patch build still works because the version is described as minor.
The notes do not announce an anti-cheat replacement, so they provide no evidence that a new HWID spoofer is required solely because of 0.1.2. The WARDOGS software catalog remains the relevant place to review available builds, but each product’s current status should be checked separately rather than inferred from the patch notes.
