Mistfall Hunter has scheduled a live update for August 12 at 08:00 UTC+0. The servers are meant to stay online throughout, yet players will still have to pull a fresh client build from their app store before they can jump back in. Along with a batch of bug fixes, the patch is set to introduce the Soul Harvest activity and open a new stage of the Fate Chart.
The short version of the announcement
- A bundle of fixes for known issues, delivered without any maintenance window.
- Soul Harvest, framed in-fiction as a joint operation run by Dew and the Gyldhunters.
- A new Fate Chart stage that extends progression alongside the new mode.
- A mandatory client download through the app store, despite the zero-downtime rollout.
”No downtime” describes the server, not your build
It is worth separating the two halves of this announcement. The no-downtime part is about infrastructure: no queues, no lockout, no waiting for a maintenance timer to tick down. The client update is a completely different matter — the executable on your machine is replaced, and with it the memory layout that any external tool relies on.
That is the practical consequence. A patch does not have to be large to shift signatures and offsets; it only has to be a rebuild. And a “batch of known issue fixes” in a live-service title often means edits scattered across combat logic, synchronisation and server-side validation rather than a couple of cosmetic tweaks.
New content, no established baseline
Soul Harvest and the fresh Fate Chart stage will drive a rush of activity over the following days, because everyone chases new rewards early. On brand-new content there is no settled baseline yet: unusual clear times, unusual accuracy and unusual completion rates sit against everyone else’s first attempts rather than against months of accumulated results.
What this means for players using software
The routine after a client rebuild is boring, and that is exactly why it works.
Do not launch with an outdated build. If your tooling was compiled against the previous client, the best-case outcome is that features silently fail. The worst case is a crash during a match, and crashes are logged on the game’s side.
Confirm compatibility before your first session. Check the software update statuses and make sure your build is marked as working against the current client version. If it is still flagged as pending, waiting a day or two costs far less than an account review.
Give the new mode a quiet start. Soul Harvest is the newest piece of content, and there is nothing to compare early results against. If you want to test aggressive settings, do it in older activities where your numbers blend into a large existing sample instead of sitting at the top of a fresh leaderboard.
Re-check your configuration, not just your version number. A patch that touches gameplay systems can change how a tool behaves even when it loads correctly. Settings tuned for last week’s build are a starting point, not a guarantee. Current builds for the title live on the Mistfall Hunter page.
Hardware identifiers still matter. Updating the client does nothing to reset flags already recorded against your machine. If your account has previously drawn attention, an HWID spoofer belongs in the routine regardless of how minor the patch looked in the announcement.
