Late on May 17 Ubisoft ran the reveal stream, and on the morning of May 18 the Steam announcement went live: the next Rainbow Six Siege season is Operation System Override, launching June 2, 2026. PC players can already hop on the Test Server and try everything hands-on.
Calypso Casino — first new map in half a year
The headline reveal is Calypso Casino, a fully new three-floor map with a basement. It’s the first brand-new map since Lair shipped in Operation Deep Freeze. Designers promise a “Vegas-style” aesthetic with long straight sight lines in the gaming halls and tight service corridors in the B-level.
The map goes into Casual, Ranked, and Quick Match rotations at launch.
Dokkaebi remaster and the XK23 rifle
Dokkaebi gets a full operator remaster:
- Logic Bomb 2.0 — phone hacks now reveal multiple recent enemy positions instead of pinging just one
- Boosted CCTV-override headset — Dokkaebi can briefly intercept enemy drone video feeds
- A new primary, XK23 — a high-rate assault rifle with moderate recoil
In parallel, Zofia is moved to a two-speed class (was 1-speed) — a long-standing community ask for heavy attack operators.
Ranked 3.0 — a relaunch of the most-played playlist
Ubisoft call this “the biggest ranked rework since Y8.” Highlights:
- A new MMR formula that factors in individual stats, not just W/L
- Softer seasonal reset — top players won’t drop to Bronze 3
- Rebalanced ban phase: bans now lock in before side selection
What this means for players with software
Operation System Override is a massive update and it will almost certainly break offset-dependent ESP and Aimbot for the first 24–48 hours. Our standard guidance:
- Don’t queue Ranked on patch day. After major seasons BattlEye gets a fresh signature dump, and ban waves on alt accounts roll out for 3–5 days.
- HWID spoofer is mandatory. If a wave hits your main, a spoofer lets you rotate fresh accounts without the “hardware reuse” flag.
- Wait for confirmation from your provider that the cheat is tested on the new Calypso Casino — old navmesh coordinates simply don’t work there.
For Test Server users: PTS anti-cheat is softer, but a PTS ban mirrors to your live account. Don’t run a cheat on the test server that you can’t afford to lose.
You can pick a current Y11S2-ready software stack in our Rainbow Six Siege section — updates will ship in the first 24 hours after the June 2 release.
Bottom line
June 2 is the day Calypso Casino hits live servers and Dokkaebi becomes one of the loudest operators in the meta. Ranked 3.0 rewrites ladder rules. The month is shaping up to be hot — for legit matches and for players running their own toolkit alike.
