Delta Force anti-cheat mid-year: DMA Shield and TPM 2.0

The Delta Force security team (G.T.I.) published something other than the usual weekly ban tally — a full mid-year report that reads like a technical roadmap of their anti-cheat strategy. For players running private software, that matters far more than a weekly number.

The headline: ban counts are no longer the metric

The first thing the team says is that weekly numbers stopped being an honest signal. What counts is not how many accounts got removed after the fact, but how many suspicious launches were stopped before the match. Over six months, they claim, cheat activity is trending down and confirmed cheat samples are shrinking.

The practical read: the focus shifted from reactive ban waves to preventive environment detection. A launch that slips through no longer means “you’re clear.”

What they actually built

Earlier environment detection

Early in the year G.T.I. saw cheat sellers lean harder into masking real locations and faking system environment parameters. The answer was to move the detection point earlier in the chain: analysing abnormal environments and suspicious execution behavior at launch, not just memory signatures.

DMA Shield, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0

The core of the report. The developers openly admit that as DMA-based cheating grew, software-only detection stopped covering the risk — external hardware and low-level access paths bypass conventional checks. Their response:

  • DMA Shield — a dedicated layer against direct memory access boards.
  • Secure Boot — boot chain verification so unsigned drivers cannot load before the game starts.
  • TPM 2.0 — hardware-level verification of runtime environment integrity.

This is the same direction Valorant, Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty already took: anti-cheat anchored in a hardware root of trust, not just a driver in the system.

Kernel shellcode and Operation Sentinel

Since April they strengthened detection of in-game and kernel shellcode, abnormal memory execution and unauthorized drivers, plus tamper protection for game data. In June they launched Operation Sentinel, a persistent enforcement framework designed so a banned player cannot simply return on a fresh account.

What this means for players with software

  • DMA is no longer a free pass. A dedicated DMA Shield plus hardware checks are shipping, not theoretical. When picking a DMA solution for Delta Force, judge the seller by how fast they react to updates like this, not by the feature list.
