The Y11S3 Designer’s Notes published on August 17 outline a substantial weapon nerf alongside targeted changes to Dokkaebi and Kali. The SMG-12 will lose much of its damage and magazine capacity, while Kali gets faster follow-up shots and more practical magnification options. No anti-cheat changes are mentioned, but the accompanying client update may still affect third-party software compatibility.
The SMG-12 loses its sustained pressure
The largest numerical adjustment is reserved for the SMG-12 used by Dokkaebi, Vigil, and Warden. Its per-shot damage falls from 28 to 16, magazine capacity drops from 32 to 22 rounds, and total ammunition is reduced from 129 to 111.
That combination changes more than the weapon’s time-to-kill expectations. A missed burst now consumes a much larger share of the available magazine, and users cannot maintain the same pressure before reloading. Short, deliberate bursts will matter more than extended spraying after Y11S3 arrives.
Aruni and Tubarão are also affected through their DMR options. The notes describe removing access to the Muzzle Brake so that quick follow-up shots demand more recoil control rather than benefiting from an attachment that makes them excessively consistent.
Kali gets better pacing and new zoom levels
Kali’s V-Lance can be selected or put away without cancelling aim-down-sights. This should make it easier to weave the gadget into an engagement instead of forcing a complete reset of the aiming sequence.
The CSRX 300 receives several connected adjustments:
- short magnification changes from 5x to 3.5x;
- long magnification moves from 12x to 8x;
- the bolt-action cycle falls from 1 second to 0.8 seconds;
- maximum ammunition rises from 36 to 51 rounds;
- recoil and hip-fire spread both increase.
The lower zoom options make the rifle less restrictive across typical engagement ranges, while the quicker action cuts the delay between shots. Higher recoil and wider hip-fire spread preserve the need for accurate follow-ups rather than turning Kali into a close-range operator.
Dokkaebi must maintain the connection
Jegeo Payload will require an uninterrupted link between Dokkaebi’s tablet and the target’s phone. Breaking that connection cancels the upload rather than merely pausing it, giving defenders a direct opportunity to deny the ability.
Signal Disruptors can interrupt the process, and eliminating Dokkaebi remains the more permanent answer. Her tablet also stays active throughout the upload, leaving it visible to electronic detection tools such as Solis’ SPEC-IO. Positioning and timing therefore become part of the commitment instead of the ability being a low-risk action.
Impact EMP Grenades are being replaced with Breach Charges. This prevents Dokkaebi’s own EMP effect from disabling the target phone and unintentionally cancelling the connection.
What this means for players using software
These notes contain no announced anti-cheat revision or new enforcement measure. There is therefore no factual reason to add an HWID spoofer solely because of the listed balance changes. Y11S3 will still involve a new client build, however, and even a balance-focused update can invalidate offsets, signatures, hooks, or overlay integrations.
Check the software update status page before the first post-patch session rather than assuming an existing build remains compatible. The Rainbow Six Siege software catalog provides the game-specific options, but availability on that page should not be treated as confirmation for a newly released client version.
Kali profiles deserve particular attention: moving from 5x and 12x to 3.5x and 8x can throw off sensitivity or FOV-dependent calibration, while the recoil increase may invalidate an old compensation profile. SMG-12 burst limits should also be reviewed around the smaller 22-round magazine. Tools that expose operator ability states may require additional testing because Jegeo Payload now depends on a continuous, interruptible connection.
