WARDOGS servers will go offline for roughly one hour on September 14, 2026, while patch 0.11 is deployed. The update is largely a response to complaints about community server visibility, with the studio acknowledging that its original browser did not give hosted servers enough support. It arrives after the game reached a peak of 400,000 concurrent players.
Community servers get their own space
Patch 0.11 separates the front end into Official and Community browsers. Official servers will lose their filters because WARDOGS does not currently offer modified official modes, while community listings receive more precise discovery tools.
The immediate browser changes include:
- more reliable filtering for community servers;
- text-based server search;
- quick options for showing empty or full servers;
- a corrected Host button destination;
- consistent alphabetical ordering regardless of leading numbers or special characters;
- restrictions preventing names from using repeated spaces.
Community server IDs will now survive map changes and restarts. Each server receives a persistent identifier that players can use to join directly, although those IDs will be longer for security reasons. This is a meaningful improvement for regular groups that previously had to locate the same host again after a restart.
For one week, matches played on community servers will award an additional 5% end-of-match cash bonus. The temporary reward is framed as compensation for the poor visibility those servers had before the patch.
Maintenance time and additional fixes
The maintenance window begins at 08:00 UTC on September 14. That corresponds to 09:00 in the UK and Portugal, 10:00 in Central Europe, and 11:00 across Eastern Europe, Türkiye, and Moscow. In Asia, the listed start times include 16:00 for China and Taiwan and 17:00 for Korea and Japan.
Alongside the browser work, the developers have closed several cash exploits and addressed more GPU-related crashes. Server capacity has also been increased in Asia to accommodate demand. The announcement does not specify individual graphics cards, crash triggers, or the exact additional capacity, so players affected by stability problems will need to test the new build after maintenance.
Features still in development
The browser overhaul is only the first step. The studio is working on server favourites, tiered priority queues, Message of the Day prompts, better warmup activities, disabling AFK kicks while a server is being seeded, and team-switching options.
None of those features is included in 0.11, and no delivery dates were provided. The reactive quality-of-life work is also said to be separate from the content already being prepared for Season 2.
What this means for players using software
The patch notes do not announce an anti-cheat update, a new detection layer, or changes to WARDOGS ban handling. There is therefore no factual basis in this announcement for replacing a HWID spoofer solely because 0.11 has arrived.
That does not make an existing software build automatically compatible. A client update can move offsets, replace executable files, or alter memory structures even when its visible features are mostly menus and server discovery. Fixes targeting cash exploits are another reason not to assume that behavior tied to the previous client will remain unchanged.
Before launching after maintenance, check the software update status page. If a build is still being tested or marked unavailable, waiting for a compatibility confirmation is safer than trying the pre-patch version. You can compare the available options in the WARDOGS software catalog, but the listed client version and status should be verified before every session. Tools that store community server identifiers may also need adjustment now that those IDs are persistent and longer.
