If you're experiencing lag, freezes, or low FPS while using software — here are the main causes and solutions.

Main causes of lag

  • Weak hardware. Software uses additional system resources. If your PC is already at its limit, lag is inevitable.
  • Antivirus. Third-party antivirus programs (Kaspersky, Avast, Norton, etc.) scan processes in real-time, heavily loading the system. We recommend disabling or uninstalling them.
  • Background processes. Browser with 50 tabs, Discord, OBS, and other programs consume RAM and CPU resources.
  • Outdated GPU drivers. Update your NVIDIA or AMD drivers to the latest version.

What to do?

  1. Close unnecessary programs before launching the game.
  2. Lower graphics settings in the game — reduce resolution, disable shadows, anti-aliasing, and other resource-heavy options.
  3. Disable overlays — Discord Overlay, GeForce Experience Overlay, Steam Overlay.
  4. Update GPU drivers from the manufacturer's official website.
  5. Uninstall third-party antivirus. Built-in Windows Defender is sufficient (it's also recommended to disable it when using software).
  6. Check temperatures. CPU or GPU overheating causes throttling and performance drops.
  7. Increase page file if you have less than 16 GB of RAM.

If lag appeared after an update

Sometimes performance issues occur temporarily after game or software updates. In that case:

  • Wait — developers may release an optimization patch.
  • Contact support with a description of the issue and your PC specs.
